Portals Nous is a small, remote resort in the district of Calvia, in south west Majorca. Conveniently located, just 15km from Palma Airport, transfers to the resort are relatively straightforward, the journey west past the city of Palma taking around 20 minutes.

The resort has a very relaxed vibe, a world away from neighbouring resorts such as Magaluf - this is a place to come and relax. There are plenty of cafes, bars and restaurants in Portals Nous serving a good selection of international and Mallorcan cuisine, in particular the fresh fish and seafood dishes that Majorca is famous for.

The area has several beaches, some with watersports, sunbeds and parasols etc. Others are small secluded coves with few distractions. There is also a marina, Puerto Portals, which attracts beautiful yachts and is a great place to sit and take in the view. There are a number of nice resturants and open air cafes around the waterfront.

There is a spectacular and reknowned golf course in Portals Nous, the Royal Bendinat, eighteen challengine holes complemented by breathtaking scenery. At just 10km from the city of Palma, this is also a convenient base from which to explore the sights of the capital. However, public transport from Portals Nous is quite limited unlike the surrounding area which is generally quite well served. If you want to use this resort as a base for exploring the area around Calvia or Palma city, you should consider travelling by taxi or perhaps hiring a car.

Portals Nous is also fairly close to several other major resorts, all of which could be explored by car, such as Santa Ponsa, Magaluf or Palma Nova, all close by in Calvia.

This is a peaceful resort with laid-back nightlife, ideal for a relaxing beach holiday. Portals Nous has just enough holiday ingredients to cater for your needs without ever being overbearing or overcrowded. The choice of beaches makes this a brilliant destination for family holidays, with or without children.
